John Mullan, M.D.

Biography

John Mullan, M.D., received his bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago. He completed his Neurosurgery residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Dr. Mullan is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgery, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Minnesota Neurosurgical Society , the American Medical Association and the Minnesota Academy of Medicine.  He is a board member of the Minneapolis Neuroscience Institute. 

Dr. Mullan's specialty interests are radiosurgery, brain tumor surgery, spinal surgery and cervical arthroplasty (artificial cervical disc replacement). He is a  clinical assistant professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Minnesota

Dr. Mullan currently sees patients in Minneapolis and Waconia and performs surgery at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.  He performs Gamma Knife Radiosurgery at the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Mullan joined Neurosurgical Associates in 1992.
