Why Choose a Neurosurgeon?

A Neurosurgeon is a specialist who is trained to diagnose, evaluate and perform surgery on the entire nervous system, composed of the brain, spinal cord and spinal column, as well as the nerves that travel through all parts of the body (hands, legs, arms, face).

A neurosurgeon can provide a high level of expertise. All neurosurgeons in the United States complete a six to seven year residency program. By the time physicians graduate from a neurosurgery program, they have performed hundreds of procedures. For those who go on to complete a post-graduate fellowship, undergo a focused and intense training for an additional one to two years. Many patients choose a neurosurgeon for the extra measure of safety when undergoing treatment.

Why choose independent physicians? Because it matters.

Link to www.midwestipa.org/about-us.asp to check out why.

"When you choose an independent physician, you're selecting a doctor who accepts the challenges and extra time required to remain independent to best serve you. This independence allows doctors the freedom to prescribe any medication, refer you to any doctor or hospital, or question any health plan directive for the sole benefit of you, the patient. In short, if you're looking for a physician who is free to give you ALL your choices all the time, you're most likely to find this with independent physicians in private practice."                                            Midwest Independent Practice Association
