Answers to common neurosurgery spine questions
What do I do if I develop an allergic reaction such as hives?
During normal clinic hours you should call our office and talk with a nurse practitioner.  You may be asked to be seen.  During the evening or the weekend you should go to an urgent care center or a hospital emergency room for an evaluation.  The doctor seeing you may consult with the Neurosurgical Associates neurosurgeon on-call.  A serious reaction may require hospitalization.  A more minor reaction might require that your medications be changed and/or new medications added.
